Despite the withdrawal of Israeli troops, they are maintaining a presence at five strategic points in the area. Yassine Fares, who fled in September 2024, returns to his home, while others, including Hezbollah supporters, express their defiance. The city is now under Lebanese army control, but Israeli forces remain stationed at key locations, including a strategic point overlooking the fertile plain of the Galilee Finger.
